Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) chief executive Tim Livesey speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive after the AIM-listed gold exploration company announced the signing of a definitive earn-in agreement with BCM International for the Bibemi gold project in Cameroon.
Livesey explains that the partnership represents a significant milestone for Oriole, especially in its Cameroon operations. He says BCM, a mining services group with roots in Australia and a strong presence in West Africa, brings substantial expertise and financial strength to Oriole's projects, particularly the advanced Bimini gold project in Cameroon.
He adds that the Bibemi Project, deemed the most advanced in Cameroon, attracted BCM for its potential rapid mine startup and resource expansion opportunities. BCM's experience in mine building and operation adds immense value to Oriole's early-stage projects. The collaboration is expected to expedite project timelines, leveraging BCM's resources for exploration, resource expansion, and preliminary assessments.
Looking ahead, the next 18 months promise significant progress and stronger ties between Oriole and BCM, facilitated by strategic alignments and technical collaborations. Livesey says that Oriole's shareholders can anticipate a growth story unfolding, buoyed by the company's success in Cameroon and potential parallel agreements for other licenses.
