Ariana Resources Managing Director Kerim Sener talked with Proactive about new high-grade gold intercepts at the Tavşan mine in western Turkey.
Sener detailed that the company commenced a 15,000m diamond drilling program at the Tavşan site earlier in the year. This first set of results came from the North Zone — a satellite area to the main zone that has been actively mined for the past two years. He noted that “we went operational through Tavşan’s heap leach last month,” highlighting the transition from the Kızıltepe operation, which is reaching the end of its mine life.
A revised mineral resource estimate is currently in progress but will only be completed after the full drill program concludes. Ariana expects to announce those results in 2026.
Sener said the drilling is ongoing across Tavşan’s Main and South zones, and other targets including the West Zone, with a goal of identifying potential connectivity between zones. He added, “there’ll be fairly regular news flow in relation to the Tavşan drilling going forward.”
The company also recently started a 4,000m RC drilling campaign at the Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe, targeting multiple areas around the Queen North and Doctor Central deposits.
