Kenmare Resources PLC
Kenmare Resources plc is one of the world's largest producers of titanium minerals. Listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Dublin, Kenmare has been operating the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine in Mozambique for almost 20 years. Moma's production accounts for approximately 6% of global titanium feedstocks and the Mine has Mineral Resources to sustain production for more than another 100 years at the current production rate. The Company produces raw materials that are ultimately consumed in everyday quality-of life items such as paints, plastics and ceramic tiles and serves customers operating in more than 15 countries. The Company has a proven track record of being a trusted corporate citizen, including investing over $25 million in community development initiatives in Mozambique, and entered the FTSE4Good index in June 2025.
Speaker: Tom Hickey, Managing Director
Tom Hickey joined Kenmare in September 2022 as Finance Director and he was appointed as Managing Director in August 2024. He has 24 years’ experience as a Director of various public companies. This includes eight years as Chief Financial Officer of the African and South American-focused oil and gas producer Tullow Oil plc from 2000 to 2008. Tom also held senior financial roles with the oil and gas exploration company Petroceltic International plc between 2010 and 2016, including latterly as Chief Financial Officer.
Rockwood Strategic PLC
Rockwood Strategic Plc is a main market listed Investment Trust. It is focused on listed UK small company shares, primarily below £250 million market capitalisation and managed by Harwood Capital. The approach is relatively concentrated, has a recovery and value investment style, an absolute return mindset and an ‘engaged’, active approach to its investments. The strategy is c.£200m in assets and has been the best performing UK smaller companies Trust in the last 5 years.

Having qualified as a chartered accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Richard joined Bradshaw Asset Management as assistant fund manager in 1999. He subsequently joined Société Générale Asset Management where he became Head of UK Small Companies and a CFA charterholder. In 2006, he co-founded River and Mercantile Asset Management where he was Head of Research and launched both the UK Small Company Fund and the UK Income Fund. In 2013, he joined Majedie Asset Management to co-manage and subsequently solely manage the UK small company investments. In 2019, he joined Gresham House Plc as fund manager for Gresham House Strategic Plc. In 2021, Harwood Capital was appointed the new Investment Manager for Gresham House Strategic Plc, which changed its name to Rockwood Strategic Plc and Richard was subsequently re-appointed as lead fund manager.

Central Asia Metals PLC
Central Asia Metals, an AIM-quoted UK company based in London, owns 100% of the Kounrad SX-EW copper operation in central Kazakhstan and 100% of the Sasa zinc-lead mine in North Macedonia. The Company also owns an 80% interest in CAML Exploration, a subsidiary formed to progress early-stage exploration opportunities in Kazakhstan, and a 28.4% interest in Aberdeen Minerals Ltd, a privately-owned UK company focused on the exploration and development of base metals opportunities in northeast Scotland.

Gavin has over 25 years’ experience in the mining sector. He began his career in the industry with Anglo American, initially in target generation and due diligence, and subsequently in greenfields exploration and project management of a feasibility study of a gold project. He then spent eleven years in London’s investment banking sector in debt financing, derivatives and equity investments across the mining sector with Barclays Capital and Investec. Gavin joined the Company in June 2014 as Business Development Director, was appointed CFO in April 2018 and held this position for six years before being appointed CEO in October 2024.
