This morning’s RNS release marks another important milestone for the commercialisation of Ilika’s proprietary, solid-state-battery (‘SSB’) large-format Goliath platform for electric vehicles (‘EVs’). In line with outlook statements made in its FY25 results release in July this year, Ilika has successfully executed a final commissioning test on its in-house, automated assembly line. This completes a fully operational, Goliath SSB pilot production facility capable of delivering sufficient volumes of consistent quality 10Ah and 50Ah first & second generation SSB prototype cells, to drive forward internal validation and tier-1 automotive customer testing programs, while at the same time derisking manufacturing scale-up to giga-scale production. This achievement further demonstrates Ilika establishing itself as the UK flagship for next-generation, high-performance, solid-state battery technology for EV application.
