Gelion’s JDA with Mitsui Kinzoku strengthens the building blocks for first commercial-scale production in Asia, complementing recent progress in the USA. Gelion already has a strong IP moat with the Max Planck Institute, U.S market entry through the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) and strong customer validation through its partnerships with TDK, QinetiQ and Nissan UK. This agreement supports Gelion’s transition from technology development towards a broader production and commercialisation ecosystem and so deliver its technology to the growing and demanding markets for energy storage.
