The seeds to Falco Resources' unfolding success story can be traced back to
2012 when the company acquired a substantial land package which contained
the former Horne Mine, which operated from 1927 to 1976 and produced
11.6Moz of gold and 2.5Blb of copper. Falco did not discover the Horne 5
Project in the traditional sense. Instead it identified, modelled and
reinterpreted a huge previously known but poorly understood block beneath
and adjacent to the historic Horne Mine by applying modern geological and
digital techniques to legacy data. After eight years in permitting, it looks as
though Falco will gain the decree from the Quebec government, authorisation
that gives the keys to all the other permits.
